The Dark Splendor, Chapter 1-A

This is my first ROUGH effort, which will improve as I gain better command of the tools and processes. There is a lot to learn how to do here. IMPORTANT! Please see the details below about the book.

I must caution the reader that although there is a great deal of metaphysical truth and spiritual teachings in this book, it also has a lot of terrible brutality and psychopathy. It is a little more graphic, dramatic, and vile than The Silence of the Lambs, and the main villain is the equal of Hannibal Lecter in every sense. Imagine Hannibal Lecter with magical powers and the ability to control minds at a distance.

It might be better compared to the Hellraiser series of films by Clive Barker.

I must tell the reader that the majority of what you read in this book is very close to events and conditions that have played out again and again on this plane, and I have personally met representatives of light and darkness as they are shown in this book. Much of this is true. I don’t care what you think; I was either there or I heard about it.

Now… of course… there are no characters called Billy Joe Festus or Ming that I know of, but there are most definitely people who fit both descriptions.

I based a great deal of what happens in the book on real-life events, and the character of the detective and other players I based on real people I have encountered, although liberties were taken wherever I felt like it.

I cannot stress enough that such things as you will read really do happen and have happened; not exactly, but close enough for an occult supernatural thriller based on real life. Also, everything that took place in states of hyperrealism, I have either experienced or heard about from legitimate sources.

This is not an easy book to read or hear. It is VERY dark in some places, and the opposite in others. Unless you are prepared for horror film events, I suggest you give this book a pass.

All of the magical rituals and strange metaphysical events are based on real rituals and events that… once again… I have either experienced or heard about. I tried very hard to color inside the lines, BUT… it is a work of fiction after all.

I have spent decades studying in the fields of occult, metaphysical, and supernatural teachings and occurrences, and I am certain I brought a lot more into this life as well. Certain things that happened to and around me could have been in this book.

Of course, I did not put actual rituals into the book. That would be stupid, since there are idiots around who would immediately try to see if they worked. I hammed those parts up a bit, and I added special effects and took literary and poetic license where I felt it was necessary. The book is sometimes funny, sometimes horrifying, and sometimes illuminating.

Technically, this first effort is a botched job, but I spent hours trying to polish it up and did not do as well as I could because I didn’t know then what I know now about doing it right, so… it will improve measurably in the following episodes. Please bear with me. You can hear every word. My delivery needs work, and I have found workarounds for that. I have also never done this sort of thing before, but what I know… from the past… about everything I try to do and stick with, is that I get better as I go. In some cases, much better.

Once again, this book is brutal and unsparing in places, just like real life. I wrote it in the hopes that it would be made into a graphic novel by professionals, but I have been so heavily shut down and censored by the Ash Can Nazis and their catamites that my work hardly sees daylight at all. You don’t know the half of what these bottom feeders have tried to do to me, but that’s alright. That’s all about to change.

Let me continue with the warnings. I wrote this book as if it were a movie playing in the head of the reader, so… unless you have the insight and detachment necessary, I suggest you give this a pass. This is for people who like thrillers, and bad guys playing cowboys and Indians with good guys. The savagery is not spared, and… once again… everything in this book happens somewhere every day. History, especially the many parts you did not come across, is a bloodsoaked travelogue. I have stayed true to the hidden realities of existence. I’m not a great writer, but I am efficient enough to get my message across, as you will see if you do listen to this book.

The next book to follow this one will be easier, and it will also be less true to life in some cases, based on what has happened so far, BUT… not based on what is going to be happening in times to come. You can count on that.

I could have done this first portion over again and measured it in segments that make it easier to work with and to edit, BUT… I wanted to get started, and this is how I do it. I throw myself into it, and mistakes and all, it gets the process in gear.

Once again, if you don’t have the temperament for this sort of thing, stay away. This is not puppy dogs and rainbows, but I assure you it is based on actual occurrences, and maybe what you have found out about the Epstein Class and The Usual Suspects has made you a little more aware of what they are capable of. What they are capable of is a lot worse than you imagine. God is going to be sorting it all out. He is already in the process of doing this, so… have faith.

I was not as capable a writer when I wrote this book. The second book was much better. There will be issues of style and other features that are not really professional, but there are also many things in this book that the best writers never included in their tales because they focused mostly on the pedestrian back and forth of human interactions. We go behind the scenes where the real evil operates, and it also moves from life to life. God be with you!
