I’m not going to get into details about what goes on in this next half-chapter. It’s mostly the sort of profane behavior you expect from the Hollywood set, and… like 90+% of everything that happens in this book, it is an accurate depiction of what takes place in Hollywood, and life at a wider reach, every day of the week.
I must add, yet again, that though it takes some distance to travel, the tenor of the book… eventually… experiences an upswing into better places with better people with better stories. Grim and dark events go on all through the book because that is how it works when you are doing evil, or serving evil, or fighting evil. It’s all the parts of what makes this particular dual-action world what it is.
CarryAnn, who is the main character in this portion, is also a main action figure in how the book resolves. She plays a terrifically important role in the book, but it isn’t clear what that is until it’s Shazam-time.
It is terrifically ironic that I am serializing this book and the next book over the coming months, while also doing weekly broadcasts from The First Church of the Presence of God. I try to talk about God in every effort I engage in, so… sometimes it is going to be a gossamer embroidery over the transparency of an oil-slick world, and other times it’s going to be a guns-blazing, hell-for-leather dance among the savages. That would be what there is in these novels, and otherwise, and on the other hand… that is what there is in the discourses, music (50-50), and blog postings. Take what is useful to you and leave the rest.
As will remain the case here, everything is free, and… as ever… God is watching. I get a strong feeling that this is one of the most important points of it all, though it seems not to be that widely known.
I hope the audio came out loud enough. I employed a new process that rendered the result in stereo, which lowered the volume. I can raise the volume by applying amplification and re-uploading the file if it is difficult to hear the audio. Let me know.
